I am 16 and there is this girl in my year who is 15 I never knew she liked me for sure until a few months ago, She would stroke my hair, shout my name to get my attention and stare at me at dinner and break.
She used to comment and like a lot of my status’s on facebook and used to make wallposts quite often, one that stuck with me was when she said “I HAD A DREAM ABOUT YOU!!!” one morning, she also commented on my wallpost to her saying that she loved me. One day during the holidays we crossed paths with our friends and she demanded a picture on her phone with me, she uploaded the picture named “[My name] xoxoxoxoxox!!!”.

Although all of that happened one time when I commented on her status she told someone she started to find me annoying so I stopped commenting and making wallposts, the week before we came back to school I went to Turkey and just before I left I made a status saying that i’m starting not to care again, then she liked it.

I’m not sure why she did that but I never got back onto facebook until the day before school started and she never commented on anything or said anything about me, so I thought she moved on. But yesterday morning after going back to school and at break I saw her talking to her friends then looking at me and staring for a minute, she never said anything but she kept looking either my way or at me, and one lesson I was sat near one of her friends, she said to me “Do you like [Her Name]” with a smile on her face, not a disgusted face that found it hilarious, but the sort of face that wanted to know if I did to make her friend feel happy! I replied with “No” but said really nervously so she probably took it that I didn’t want anyone to know, I know I should of just said “Yes” but I wanted to say it to her face not to a friend.

And this morning the same happened pretty much there was no contact and she seemed as if she wasn’t paying attention through the first 4 lessons, dinner and break. But the last lesson we had together and it was P.E I never saw her look at me for the first 30-40 minutes but when we FINALLY got to do something I saw her look at me and when I looked at her she turned her head away, I saw her do this a few times although after a while she sat down on the floor talking to her friends with her back turned to me but towards a mirror, we were playing table tennis and I missed that ball and it rolled towards someone and they tried to grab it, I think it was her because she was sat near where this happened I looked after I got back to the table, and then I went to get a drink from the fountain, and when I went back her friend was doing cartwheels, and I heard her shout either “Watch out for [My Name]” addressing it to her friend or “[My Name] Watch out” addressing it to me.

The thing that got me is that when I was flirting and talking to this other girl I liked for a long time I came back to school with her laughing at me and telling everyone and them laughing at me, but now i’m back and no one is laughing but people know!

Does she still like me? Tell me your opinion and sorry for the long story!

I used to be into volleyball, and I still am but not as much. I came to a new school, and joined their volleyball program. Most people were older than me, some my age. I was good compared to them, although some were better. At this school they have something called “Caissa” which is a sports program where you work 3 days a week for (either the whole year, or 2 months.) My dad heard and told me to tryout, but I’m afraid of who will be there, and plus the homework is tough enough. Along with my after school activity of table tennis, 4 days of the week would be gone. I am not going to try out, but what’s even worse is that my old teacher wants me to try out, and she keeps coming up to me and asking when I will. I can’t lie and say my parents won’t let me because I told her I would. I don’t want to try out, and I told my dad. He bribed me saying he would give me $200 US for clothes, but I can’t. What do I tell him? He is so disappointed…I don’t know what to do. Please help me, -Sophia

Say A was involved in Track and Field, Volleyball, and Lacrosse (state team) for 4 years and received many awards in the provincial and national levels.
Now person B was involved in Table Tennis for 8-10 years and won only a few awards at national and district level, as opposed to person A.. so Person B was involved in the sport much longer than person A. But A received much more awards and accomplished more in their shorter years of involvement with those sports.
