Open Question: Why do most sports athletes look old? Does exercising too much make you look older?

Look at Wayne Rooney, look at Steven Fletcher from Wolverhampton. Look at Tevez from Man City. Look at some swimmers and table-tennis players. They all tend to look much older than their ages. This I believe contains no generalisation.

But why? And how much exercising would get you to that state? Over exertion？
