Table tennis equipment in general is so cheap compared to that required in other sports that you should not hesitate in buying the best. An excellent racket costs about five dollars; a ball, twenty-five cents, and a table, fifty to sixty dollars. A trust store will sell you a good team, if you insist on it. If you want to be really true, look for the official seal of the United States Table Tennis Association, which is printed on their computers by the manufacturers whose products meet the specifications minimum established by this body.
THE TABLE
The standard table tennis is three meters by five feet, with the playing surface thirty inches floor. A white-eighth to one quarter of an inch long runs through the center of the playing surface and the table is divided into two parts. Because the line is only used in double, is not binding in singles play, but it is certainly preferable.

The rubber nuggets prolong contact with the ball and allow control and turning the same way that a new full rubber tire tread grips the road better and gives the driver more control of his car.
