Open Question: Does anyone play Table Tennis or have a Table Tennis Machine / Robot?
Sep/100
Hi, I am doing a Design and Technology project, designing and building a Table Tennis Machine. I need to collect research from users of these products or someone who would use this product (e.g. someone with a Table Tennis machine or someone who plays Table Tennis). All these questions are your opinion.
Questions:
1. For you what do you think a table Tennis machine needs to be capable of doing in order to be useful/successful?
2. What types of spin does the machine need to produce in order to be useful/successful?
3. How fast does the ball need to travel?
4. Does it need to be able to hit different parts of the table automatically.
5. Is there anything else that you think is important and should be thought about in the making of a Table Tennis machine?
6. Should it have settings for speed, spin and direction
7. Should it have a setting to make speed, spin and direction random.
8. If you have one of these or have used one :
# Is it easy to use – if so why?
# Does it look nice – Smooth, modern, etc?
# What was it capable of doing?
Any other info that you think may be relevant would be much appreciated.
Could you also please let me know, if or how you are related to table tennis (e.g. a coach, a player, a user, a designer of these, or if you just play casually etc.)
The best answer will be the most detailed and helpful.
Thanks
